After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce and Business Administration from Mumbai University, Kenny Rawatni recognised Africa’s vast potential as a thriving market for the retail industry. He was inspired by the fashion and retail sectors of the West during his travels abroad and set out to bring the same global fashion retail experience to African customers.

Kenny’s Group was formed in 1993, a globally recognised name in the retail industry. Kenny’s Group operates over 30+ African stores, with an impressive array of over 70 brands. The company initiated its journey in 1993 by launching its first store, Kenny’s, with its first exclusive store in Brazzaville. Building a firm ground-work with the first store and developing the right people, processes and tools, he then consummated the next phase by absorbing other international brands like Bvlgari, Hublot, Chopard, Ulysse Nardin, Girard Perrgaux, Dolce & Gabanna, Montblanc, Fred, Zenith, Frederique Constant, Lancel, Longines, Raymond Weil, Pal Zileri, Longchamp, and more whilst launching stores in every vital location across Africa. Starting with just one store in 1993, Today, Kenny’s group boasts 25 stores and more than 20 international brand franchises such as Patchi, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Celio, Puma, Paul & Shark, Lacoste, Maison123, DCM Jennyfer, Etam and more and 45 luxury brands across various categories. Today, The Kenny’s boasts a portfolio of approximately 10 million square feet of Grade A retail space in Africa.

KYRA

KYRA is a multinational personal care and beauty product retailer with nearly 0 brands, including beauty products such as cosmetics, skincare, body, fragrance, nail colour, beauty tools, body lotions and haircare. Kenny Rawtani and Rhea Rawtani, the Chairman and Co-Founder, respectively, established the company in Kinshasa in 2021. KYRA has expanded the stores and bolstered the chain’s products to include beauty and cosmetics. KAYA extended its operation to the African markets in 2021 and opened its partnership with its exclusive brands.
